Music is so special to Tom and I, and Sam absolutely delivered on the soundtrack for the day.

Dea made us feel totally at ease. We aren’t one for photos but we had so much fun and laughed the whole time.

Cait and Brayden were amazing, they captured our day so candidly and all of the emotion really came through in their work.

Baylee was a dream to deal with. I sent her my inspo photos and she took care of the rest, giving me the florals of my dreams.

Kez made our day so special, the ceremony was everything we hoped for with laughter and tears the whole way through. We were nervous about writing our own vows but she really helped us with that.

Bonnie was such a special part of our morning, she is so talented and made all of the girls feel so beautiful.

Samantha from Strandz was also such a special part of our morning. Each hairstyle she did was amazing and made the girls feel so confident.

Who was a stand out vendor and why?

Silent Shout – Our #1 wish for our wedding was that it was one big party with everyone we loved, and that was exactly what it was. Sam’s music choices on the night meant our dance floor was packed by 7pm and stayed that way until the very last song. He played music that catered to everyone, it was so amazing to look around and see all of our family and friends up and dancing together and he made that happen.

Your venue: What made you pick this one?

Tocal Homestead – The most important thing when choosing our venue was that we wanted everything to be at the same place, so that when we went off to get our photos everyone could mingle and have drinks together. Tocal was perfect for this, and to top it off being catered by Sprout meant the food was absolutely incredible. We had a cocktail style wedding and I was a bit worried there wouldn’t be enough food, but there was more than enough with extras left over. We couldn’t recommend Tocal enough. It was the perfect venue.

What was your favourite moment looking back?

We both chose the same moment – when we first saw each other walking down the aisle. All of the lead up to that moment, and it was magic.

The real MVP…. Who was your party starter? Maybe it was you?

Are we allowed to say our entire guest list?

Soundtrack to your day? and why these songs?

Aisle Song: Chateau by Angus & Julia Stone This is one of Tom’s favourite songs and was the perfect song to start the day. Every time we hear those first few chords it takes us right back to that moment.

Celebration Song: Pineapple Skies by Miguel Another one of our favourites, it is impossible to not smile when you hear this song.

Bridal Party Entrance: Music Sounds Better With You by Stardust This has been one of Sophie’s favourite songs since she first heard it years ago. It has the best vibe and always gets you pumped up when you hear it.

Sophie & Tom Entrance: Let’s Get Married – Jagged Edge (Remarqable Remix) We love old school rnb and this song was perfect for that moment. We had so much fun.

First Dance: Latch (The Ekin Edit) by Disclosure We are lucky enough to have DJ Just a Gent as our brother in law. As soon as we were engaged Tom suggested getting Jacob to mix the Sam Smith acoustic version into the Disclosure version. It was epic, everything we could have hoped for and perfectly us.

Father Daughter Dance: Heaven by Live. Live is my dads favourite band and this is a song we sing together all the time. It’s always been so special to us.

Leaving The Ceremony: We Found Love by Calvin Harris Because Calvin is the perfect way to end any night!

Your style?

Our style was pretty chilled out, it was quite rustic and romantic. We were lucky Tocal is stunning on its own we just added little things to compliment it, beautiful posies from Bayleaf, and lots of candles and fairy lights.

The girls wore beautiful forest green dresses by Shona Joy, and the guys wore charcoal grey suits with forest green ties from Rundles Tailoring in Newcastle.

The Season? What time of year did you get married and why?

We got married in Autumn. It was perfect, not too hot or too cold. It drizzled a tiny bit just before the reception started but everyone was able to make their way inside the venue so it wasn’t an issue.

Show us your absolute favourite image / Why is this your fav?

I love how happy we both look. We couldn’t wipe the smiles off our faces all day.

If you could do it all again what would you tell yourself?

Try not to stress about the little things, because on the day they won’t even bother you. The morning of the wedding as I (Sophie) was getting dressed the strap of my shoe broke. If the thought of that happening had crossed my mind the week of the wedding I would have gone out and bought 50 back up pairs of shoes, but on the day we made it work and it didn’t affect the day at all!

Don’t compare your wedding or what you’re doing to anyone else. Stay true to your vision and don’t get caught up in what you think you should do.

What’s next for you two love birds?

Hopefully some little Sophie and Tom’s in the next few years! But for the moment we are loving the newlywed life.
